FAQ’s – Ticket Holders

  •       What are the new festival dates? 

The new festival will be taking place in Queenstown from Wednesday 7 September – Saturday 10 September 2022. 

  •       Will the lineup be the same?

We’re stoked to let you know that the majority of the artists have already confirmed the new dates. We are working through the final few at present and will advise of replacements as soon as we can… stay tuned.

  •       Will the 2022 festival be the same?

Aside from some tweaks to the line-up as mentioned above, the 2022 festival is set to bring the same après-ski festival experience to Queenstown next year. There will be daily après events at The Remarkables and Coronet Peak, and evening main stage performances in Queenstown. 

  •     Is my Snow Machine ticket valid for 2022? 

Good news, your Snow Machine ticket is automatically valid for the 2022 festival dates, should you be able to attend. Details of this are in your inbox and you will also receive a call from one of our travel consultants so be sure to answer.

  •    Why should I hold on to my ticket?

Snow Machine sells out very quickly every year. Holding on to your ticket will secure your spot at next year’s festival at the first release price. You will also gain exclusive first access to Snow Machine packages before the general public, giving you first pick of the best hotels in the best locations and at the best prices. Alternatively, if you are not after a package, you can keep hold of your ticket and plan your own trip.  Plus, you’ll automatically become a Snow Machine VIP. In addition to this, we encourage you to hold on to your ticket, if you can, as it allows us to continue to create and deliver these unique experiences for you. It is an extremely difficult time for festivals, where there is no COVID cancellation insurance available. 

  •       What is a Snow Machine VIP? 

Becoming a Snow Machine VIP will give you VIP status at next year’s festival, including access to private bar areas and VIP entry to the festival. You will also gain first access to Snow Machine tickets and packages for life. 

  •       What if this doesn’t work for me?

We understand that this won’t work for everyone. If that is the case for you, and you can’t attend the new dates you are eligible for a refund. You will be contacted by the Snow Machine team in the coming weeks to provide refund details. 

  •       If I sold a ticket through Tixel, what do I do?

The ticket sale will be reversed which means you have the option to rollover the ticket for next year’s event or apply for a refund through Snow Machine, see below. You will no longer be receiving any funds from the seller through Tixel.

  •       If I bought a ticket through Tixel, what do I do?

The ticket sale will be reversed which means you will automatically be refunded by Tixel. You will receive your refund back to the credit card of purchase.

  •       Can I apply for a refund if I can’t attend the new dates?

Yes. If you can not make or afford to hold your ticket you are eligible to be refunded for your package in full. 

  •       How long will my refund take to process? 

Refunds will not be processed until after the original event dates. Refunds are processed manually, individually and will take up to 4 weeks to clear. Please be patient and courteous with our amazing team of travel consultants who will personally get back to each request.

  •       If I have already applied for a refund, what do I do?

If you previously requested a ticket refund, you will be contacted shortly to confirm the correct details for the refund. If the new dates have you excited, it’s not too late to change your mind, please contact [email protected] if you’d like to attend Snow Machine Queenstown 2022. 

  •       Can I get a refund if the 2022 festival is affected by Covid?

We are confident with the forecast rate of vaccines in both NZ and Australia, and the NZ Government plans to re-open the borders that the festival will go ahead in 2022. However, if you are prevented from travelling to New Zealand due to
government-imposed lockdowns or travel restrictions, you will be refunded for your Snow Machine ticket and any other services booked directly with us in full.
