Snow Machine is taking place from September 4-7, 2024. The festival is located in the stunning Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world! We will once again have 4 en-piste stages for you to enjoy during the day, followed by our Main Arena event from Thursday-Saturday located in Queenstown. Plus, you’ll have access to our newly added daytime winery stage across 4 days!

Snow Machine Festival is four days and three nights of music, snow, après, adventure and so much memory making! Hit the fresh corduroy slopes each morning before making your way to one of our four après stages across Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. Enjoy tabletop dancing en-piste as the artists from our line up hit the DJ decks.

After that, make your way back down into town, and freshen up before heading to our Main Arena for a night of live music in full festival mode! But the night doesn’t stop there, some of Queenstown’s hottest bars and clubs will be hosting official after parties each night! Grab yourself a wristband and bounce between the venues for a dance before you head to bed, ready to do it all again the next day!

Throughout the week, we’ll also be hosting a number of additional events that you can grab a ticket to! Stay tuned to our socials as we announce these in the coming months..

There are direct flights from most Australian capital cities and all major domestic airports in New Zealand to Queenstown International Airport (ZQN).
We will have Snow Machine flights available to book in the coming months.

Queenstown airport is a only 15 min drive from the city centre and there are many options to get there.

Queenstown is home to two world class ski resorts, The Remarkables and Coronet Peak. They are both well suited to all levels and abilities.

Both ski resorts are a short drive from the city centre – we highly recommend jumping on a bus or carpooling as the car parks can get very busy!

If you plan to drive up the mountain you are required to carry chains with you at all times, you will only be asked to fit them when conditions require. Please note 4WD vehicles are still required to carry chains.

Most accommodation is within walking distance to the town centre, however if your property is a further out of town there is a great public transport system and plenty of taxis available.

Queenstown is known as the adventure capital of the world so the activity options are endless. From adrenaline pumping skydiving and bungy jumping to more relaxed winery tours, scenic flights and health spas. Activities will be available on the Snow Machine Store soon.

If you are travelling from outside of New Zealand, yes. Queenstown is an international location and you will require a valid passport for travel. If you are not travelling on an Australian passport, make sure you have the correct visa.

Snow Machine will follow the New Zealand government’s COVID-19 protection framework required for events.

You must follow all current New Zealand entry requirements as well as any new requirements which may come into effect prior to arrival, including vaccination and testing requirements. You can check and follow all departure and re-entry requirements for New Zealand and Australia here.

This year, we have the option to select between either 5 night or 7 night packages.

5 night packages include: 5 nights accommodation at your choice of lodging (3rd – 8th September), 3 day lift passes for Coronet Peak and The Remarkables, entry to all après stages en-piste, 3 nights at the Main Arena, Access to a daytime stage off-piste

7 night packages include: 7 nights accommodation at your choice of lodging (2nd – 9th September), 5 day lift passes for Coronet Peak and The Remarkables, entry to all après stages en-piste, 3 nights at the Main Arena, Access to a daytime stage off-piste

Breakfast is included in SOME packages, it will be clearly stated on the packages page. If it is not included it can be added for an additional cost at most properties.

A confirmation from our ticketing partners will be sent as soon as you make the booking, you will then receive an itinerary from us within 4 weeks.

Yes, festival only tickets are available on our website.

From Wednesday through Saturday, you’ll find 2 après stages pumping at both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables during the day.

At each mountain, there is one stage located at the base station of the mountain, and the other is located en-piste (accessible only with lift pass by skiing/boarding in and out).

At night (Thursday – Saturday), the Main Arena will be located in Queenstown.

There is free parking available at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. There is no offical parking available at the main stage, however street parking is available in surrounding areas.

Yes, there will be a range of food and beverage options available at all events, including vegetarian and vegan options.

No, all venues are fully licensed so you are not permitted to bring your own alcohol to the event. Bag searches will be conducted before entering the event and any alcohol will be confiscated.

Yes, card is accepted at all events. Après and the Main Arena will be cashless. Please be sure to bring your credit/debit cards or make sure your phone is fully charged if you’re planning to use Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Yes, there will be first aid on hand at all events.

You must be 18+ to attend the main stage event, make sure you bring valid ID.

ID will be checked upon entry EVERY night.

Set times will be released via the Snow Machine app a few weeks before the event.

You will need to bring a valid photo ID to be permitted into the festival. The following forms of ID will be accepted;

• Current passport (for Australian and international attendees)
